Organized by individuals seeking economic freedom by establishing a cooperative focused on transportation.
Beginnings
Started in 2017, the group led by Mr. Jude Wal conducted consultations and summits related to the reactivation of CAR Bodies towards the immediate operationalization of the vision of former President Rodrigo Duterte for federalism.
Various individuals from every corner of the Cordillera attended the consultations and summits.
It was then observed that commuting and transportation had become difficult and grueling.
The group led by Mr. Wal realized the lack of an effective and efficient public transport system.
They then organized a transport cooperative that is owned and managed by the sectors.
On October 1, 2018, the Cordillera Basic Sectors Transport Cooperative was duly established with its registration approved by the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA).
